HEALTHIER SOIL HEALTHIER VEGETABLES
Many health issues are the result of mineral deficiencies, including poor digestion, weight gain, bloating, low energy, food cravings and a weakened immune system. Vegetables should be our main source of minerals and probiotics, yet many contain less vitamins and minerals than those grown decades ago. A person today would need to eat 4 to 5 times as many vegetables to get the same nutrients as in 1940.
Growing With Minerals is an urban farm in Westfield, MA using natural farming methods and make our own compost and compost tea and volunteers work to restore the soil biology growing vegetables with all the health benefits God and nature intended.
Most people eat a simplified diet consisting of the same fruits and vegetables. We need to eat a greater variety of plant based food to get all the minerals and probiotics our bodies require to maintain a healthy digestion and immune system.
No amount of fertilizer will transform compacted, lifeless dirt into living soil with the capacity to retain moisture, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, and support plants and the soil microorganisms needed to build topsoil to grow healthy plants, organic vegetables and life-changing food.
